Internal support for plant material
By using this support, small plant material such as somatic embryos, can be held in the container.
It increases the drainage of growth media around the material and its ventilation, while reducing vitrification of material. Same positive effects can be obtained for cultivation of plant species prone to vitrification (eg. woody plants).
