Repair Kit for Vessel Connectors

Special epoxy glue to re-glue the polycarbonate connectors to the vessel body.

Due to wrong manipulations and accidents, air and media connectors can get loose from the vessel body. It doesn't mean that the vessel has to be discarded. There is an option to fix the vessel yourself.

The SE-GRK is a good solution. This special epoxy can join back the broken connector to conserve its original functionality. The specialised epoxy glue will result in a strong joint resistant to autoclave processes and bioreactor manipulations.

This article contains all renewables that go together with the SE-GEH Epoxy glue handgun. You cannot use this article without an SE-GEH Epoy glue handgun.

How to use the SE-GRK

1. Once broken, conserve the connector to its corresponding vessel.
2. Try to remove with a small blade the remains of factory glue at both sites (connector and vessel). Don't worry if you can not remove it all. In this case, just try to find the original position of the connector, so both surfaces match perfectly again. You can also use one of the spare connectors provided with this kit.
3. Clean and dry well all surfaces.
4. Apply the glue mixer stave to the front of the SE-GEH glue handgun and the MCL31 2-component-epoxy-glue to the back. Apply 1 tip to the front of the mixer stave.
5. Apply the glue all round to the inner-gluing side of the connector.
6. Place the connector and twist it a bit to its closer position to the vessel.
7. Distribute all excess glue with your finger (wearing gloves) around the connector base.
8. Let it dry at room temperature for a few days.
